INTEGRITY BY SILESTONE

Use and care of Silestone sinks

Silestone® sinks will look like new by following these simple instructions:

General recommendations

for everyday use

Caring for a Silestone® sink is as easy as caring for any other sink. It should be cleaned as often as any other kitchen sink.

Limestone

Limescale and water deposits are easy to remove using household cleaning products. Please read the instructions for use carefully and rinse the surface thoroughly after use.

Shocks

Take care not to knock heavy utensils such as pressure cookers, pans, pots, etc. against Silestone® sinks.

surface. To prevent damage, place heavy cookware in the Siletone® sink with due care.

Heat

After using hot kitchen items (e.g. pans, pressure cookers, pots, etc.), place them on a mat or insulated tray and allow them to cool. DO NOT PLACE HOT OBJECTS ON THE SILESTONE SURFACE. Sudden and extreme temperature changes from hot to high can damage the surface. Do not pour boiling liquids down the sink. The best method is to allow the liquid to cool in the original container before pouring it into the sink. If this is not possible, turn on the cold water tap and let it run while the liquid is being poured.

Cleaning and care

Cosentino SA recommends using Q-action for daily cleaning. Silestone® surfaces are non-porous, making them resistant to surface stains. However, sinks come into contact with various substances and if you do not have access to Q-action, the best method for daily cleaning is water and neutral soap.

General recommendations

Regularly clean food residue with a detergent or neutral soap and rinse the surface thoroughly with water and wipe immediately with a damp cloth.

Cleaning stubborn stains

If the surface has stubborn or ingrained stains, please visit www.silestone.com for information on various solutions. General guidelines are as follows:

Instructions

Visit www.silestone.com for more information on cleaning methods, general care and chemical exposure. If the surface is stained with a product not listed in this table or mentioned on the website, the warranty is void.

Cosentino® declares compliance with the COUNCIL DIRECTIVE of 21 December 1988 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (89/109/EEC).
