Regular care
As Dekton® surfaces are almost completely non-porous, they are highly resistant to stains from everyday use and chemical products. These properties make them ideal for kitchen worktops and other work surfaces, both indoors and outdoors. For daily cleaning, Cosentino recommends using Q-Action cleaner and a sponge or soft sponge. If this care product is not available, use neutral soap and water.
Cleaning stubborn stains
In case of stubborn stains that cannot be removed with regular cleaning products or that have been on the worktop for a long time, we recommend using specific cleaning products, such as solvents (acetone or universal solvent).
The table below describes different types of stains and the corresponding cleaning products.

Acidic cleaning products can be any products that contain acid, or descaling agents, etc. Alkaline products are
simple cleaning products, ammonia, etc.
Solvents can be products such as universal solvent, turpentine (white spirit), acetone, alcohol, etc. Oxidants are such
products like hydrogen peroxide and diluted bleach.

Preventing mechanical damage
Although Dekton® is a very durable surface, avoid subjecting it to mechanical stress in its most fragile areas (corners, edges, beveled edges, etc.).
Precautions
• Avoid direct contact with metal parts of electric heaters, hobs and ovens, which may come into direct contact with the material as a result of incorrect installation.
• Avoid direct exposure to high temperatures, which can be caused by chimneys, grills, etc.
Avoid direct contact with open flame.
• Avoid prolonged contact of Dekton Xgloss with industrial objects that reach very high temperatures.
• Do not polish the surface.
• Do not use metal sponges or abrasive particles.
• Do not cut products directly on the surface with a ceramic knife, as its hardness is similar to the hardness of the surface.
• Do not cut products directly on the Dekton Xgloss surface.
• Do not drag or hit cooking utensils against the Xgloss collection worktop if it is dark in color, especially on Spectra models.
Contact with hot objects
Pans, pots, baking dishes and kettles, etc. can be placed on the worktop immediately after use. Electrical appliances that generate heat can also be placed on the unprotected surface. Dekton® is designed to withstand exposure to hot objects in domestic environments. *Dekton® 8mm surfaces must be protected from hot objects.
