TRAINING AT CAESARSTONE FACTORY, ISRAEL

For the whole week we were on a visit at CAESARSTONE factory which is located in Caesarea on the Mediterranean coast. We received valuable information about the process of material production, great peculiarities of quality, and were trained in finishing stones. For another time we were convinced that Caesarstone applies only high quality raw materials. Every slab before sending it for sale to a customer is being thoroughly checked to meet the highest standards and requirements of the most demanding clients! Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures of the whole process of production, since Caesarstone keeps it in secret. Though I would explain it to you in our salon!

The most considerable thing that maintained in our memory is Concetto process of production. Especially the moments of raw materials wafering! Concetto is a very accurate and handy-made job, a real jewel! In the manufacturer’s show-room a patriotic idea appeared to make the state flag of various pieces of Concetto materials. Using the same technology students, studying arts in Israel, depicted the painting ‘Mona Lisa’ by Leonardo da Vinci that decorates the front of the Caesarstone factory for years.

We also visited some stone finishing workshops – larger and smaller. We got acquainted with our ‘brothers’ by common trade, exchanged with recommendations and ideas. Most of workshops are located in the open air due to warm climate. It is very important to add that local authorities keep monitoring each workshop to find out if its workers are provided with necessary personal protective equipment, and if this hard job is not harmful for their health. If some illegal cases appear the workshop is closed till the moment the owner proves his/her capability to work in the frames of the law, providing the workers with all that is needed.

We visited some kitchen salons in Tel Aviv – the city that never sleeps. Presented surfaces are made mostly of Caesarstone materials! Poggenpohl kitchen studio is even made of Concetto materials.

While travelling we noticed that cooking in this state is an essential part of life. Inhabitants also support local manufacturers and prefer goods produced in their own country. Almost everybody in Israel have Caesarstone kitchen surface.
